What format should my guest list be in? Your guest list must be one complete list sent to us in Microsoft Excel format. Any add-on's need to be emailed to us separately from your original guest list as soon as you become aware of them. Other formats (ex. MS Word, faxed or typewritten) lists are accepted however an additional conversion fee is required. If you choose the menu selection option, please allow enough space after each name on your guest list. For recording purposes it would be helpful to have separate columns for each entree. If you do not want us to contact any particular guests, please do not include their phone number on your guest list. We need a copy of your guest list in alphabetical order by last name. EXAMPLES: Johnson, Joe & Loretta 651-555-0050 Lindeman, Jason & Kim 206-555-5603 Silverman, Ed & Amy 701-555-8515 These formats are required by R.S.V.P. America to process your file in a timely manner. For example, let's say that Loretta Johnson calls in to respond, we can identify Loretta immediately without any confusion. BAD EXAMPLES: Johnson, Joe Mr.& Mrs. 651-555-0050 Johnson, Jason Mr. & Mrs. 206-555-5603 Johnson, Ed Mr. & Mrs. 701-555-8515 R.S.V.P. America cannot process these examples. This time, when Loretta Johnson calls in to respond, it is difficult to identify with which Johnson party Loretta belongs to. Please restrict your list to names and telephone numbers only, any additional information is irrelevant to R.S.V.P. America You will appreciate the difference this will make as this critically affects the productivity of R.S.V.P. America. We need a copy of your invitation sent along with your complete guest list before you send your invitations to your guests. * Please Note: We regret that your guest list will be returned to you if it is not in alphabetical order by last name, or not in the required format. |
Can I get an update on my guests that have responded? Absolutely, please allow a 24-hour period to email or fax your updated guest list. Please try to limit the number of updates requested to one per week. Arrangements can be made if you need more than one update per week. Keep in mind that the majority of your guests will respond near the end of your R.S.V.P. deadline. Do not panic if you have a 10% response a week before the deadline, this is very common. |
Some of my guests have called in and responded. Why did you call them back? We returned their call for the following reasons: They spoke unclear or too fast, they dialed their name into the telephone instead of speaking their name into the telephone, they responded with a nickname, or they were transferred into the general delivery mailbox due to not having a touch-tone telephone and when asked to enter an extention number they speak their name instead. Another common reason for a call back is a guest responds for their party and another party, not identifying the last name of the other party. These are just a few of the reasons that R.S.V.P. America calls guests back. A maximum of three (3) call attempts will be made to unconfirmed guests. |
Should I call R.S.V.P. America if I know whether or not a guest is attending? Yes, please contact us before your R.S.V.P. date, any information is helpful. If a guest contacts you directly, they may get upset when we contact them. It is common that some guests will respond directly to you, so please, call the toll free number and enter your extension to respond for those people. |
Can I add any additional options to my extension number such as hotel/lodging information , gift registry, or directions? Yes, we can add anything to your extension number. Whether they need hotel/lodging information, gift registry, or directions to your ceremony or reception, your guests will appreciate any extra help you can give them. If you have not added one of these options, we strongly recommend that you do so. Call now, and ask about our additional options discount. |
Do you really give away 50 FREE Carlson Craft Invitations? YES! When you use our services you are entitled to 50 free Carlson Craft invitations. Any order of 100 or more invites receives 50 invites free. If your order is 125 invites you only pay for 75, if your order is 150 invites you only pay for 100 etc. |
Can I order any style of invitations and still use the 50 FREE offer? YES! All sytles and combinations of Carlson Craft invitations are included. If you find another sytle that is not listed on our website please contact us directly and we can in most cases get it for you. |

Our services are used by many marketing companies for product launches and other promotional events. We also have many corporate clients who use our services for seminairs and other frequently recurring events. Can you setup our service for a non-english language? Currently in addition to English (standard) we only have the ability to support the Spanish language. We can custom record your greeting/event info in Spanish for a nominal additional charge of $50. |
What does R.S.V.P mean/stand for? This is a common question. RSVP is an abbreviation of the French phrase "Repondez S'il Vous Plait" which means "please respond". When a RSVP invitation is sent, it denotes that the receiver should send his confirmation or regrets regarding his attendance in the ceremony so that sender can make proper arrangements for the expected number of guests.
Another commonly asked question is "What does RSVP Regrets Only on an invitation imply?" RSVP Regrets Only means that the person extending the invitation expects you to attend the function. If you plan to attend, you need not respond. However, if you do not plan to attend, you should respond and give your "regrets". It is not necessary to explain why you will not be attending. |
How do I inform my guests to call the 800# ? When you order your invitations (from us or somewhere else) instead of having to order a "Response Card" you can simply print the 800# and your personal extension # on the "Reception Card". "The courtesy of your response is requested by calling R.S.V.P America at 1-800-750-6155 Ext. 321"
If you do not have room on your main reception card you can order a 2nd "Reception Card" to print this information. These cards are much cheaper than the traditional "Response Cards" (aka RSVP Cards). Just another way RSVP America services save you MONEY! |
Do I have to order my invitations through RSVP America to use your service? NO! Ordering invitations through us is optional. You may order your invitations through any other company (or make them yourself).
